GETTING STARTED

  This is one place where we introduce you to several services that will add value to your fitness efforts.

  Join FitMI – This will give you access to our fitness tracking tools, and helps us show how effective this program can be. On our registration page, we ask for various items of information which will be used to summarize all of our results; your personal data will not be used for any other purpose than contacting you and creating summaries where you cannot be identified. . The benefits of membership will grow with the success of the project.

  After registration, you will be able to enter information on your progress, and print a log of your progress, with room to keep track of more information. This is a great way to ensure that your exercise activity information will not get lost, and that it is available anywhere. Also, we can use various summaries of everyone’s activity to show that the program has raised the level of activity among our participants.

  Your progress is measured in minutes of vigorous, but not exhausting, exercise. Examples are walking at the fastest pace you can comfortably sustain over the exercise period, or cycling on a level surface. The goal of this program is to help you form the habit of performing 30 minutes, 5 days per week.

  If you prefer to register by mail, or if you would like to give your friends a form to join FitMI, one will be available shortly. Please fetch and print this form, as many copies as you need. We appreciate your help and support in spreading the word.
